You know how some TV shows start out with a warning along the lines of “May contain scenes of coarse language, nudity, and sexuality”? This week’s transits may work out that way for you, and most of that action is thanks to (surprise!) Virgo.
Mars entered Virgo last Sunday, and on Wednesday it is joined in that sign by Venus. Venus in Virgo is one of those placements that gets unfairly picked on, if all you go by is the quick, canned interpretations you’ll find in too many sources. Observation demonstrates that Venus in Virgo comes with an undeniable caring and kindness. If anything, one major flaw that can come with this placement is overdoing the “caring and kindness,” often to a person’s detriment. Those are pretty attractive qualities, aren’t they? So between now and mid-September, romance and affection are likely to have a particularly gentle but inviting tone.
And now, on to the coarse language, nudity, and sexuality!
Course Language: On Wednesday, Mercury trine Jupiter is exact. On the one hand, this should facilitate clear, effective, and enthusiastic communications and will provide a bounty of new and improved ideas. That’s sounds good, doesn’t it? Well, sometimes even a good aspect can occasionally inspire less-than-awesome results, and this could be an example of that. Sure, if there’s something that needs to be said, this could be the week to do so. But when you consider that Mercury in Leo isn’t really known for its calm, wise discernment, that increases the probability that you (or someone else) might overdo it. And when that Mercury is tied to a trine with Jupiter in Sagittarius, which is just off its retrograde (and is thus arguably in particularly strong shape)? Let’s not forget that Sagittarius is the sign most prone to “foot in mouth” syndrome.
Nudity and Sexuality: First of all, that’s up to you. But if that’s the sort of thing you’re looking for, you’ll need a little more than just the niceties of Venus in Virgo. Sex is more the domain of Mars, and Mars in Virgo is definitely no wallflower. Yes, Virgo can do “demure”… or “superhero” or “prison guard” or whatever your role-playing kink is. Mars in Virgo has as much sexual firepower as any other Mars placement, but is a little more willing and able to apply the power of intellect to the physical realm.
This all becomes important this week because Venus conjunct Mars is exact on Saturday. Normally a Venus-Mars conjunction turns up sex drives in general, but this one is even more amplified. Virgo is ruled by Mercury after all… and I covered the boost Mercury is getting earlier in this horoscope. And if that’s not enough for you? Although it isn’t exact until next week, both Venus and Mars are approaching the trine to Uranus in Taurus. Will this mean a weekend of Sexy Overload? Could be… and there’s nothing wrong with that.
